Strategic Account Manager & Senior Strategic Account Manager

Focus & goal:

The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the entire account acquisition and management process – including initial customer prospecting through contract signature and ongoing client services. The SAM will develop and nurture long term client relationships at the Director, VP, and C-levels for current and targeted accounts in order to meet or exceed quarterly revenue objectives. Some of the necessary skills and job duties are listed below.

Necessary skills:

The SAM must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, client services, and sales acquisition skills. The SAM is responsible for establishing and building relationships with prospects, clients, and referral partners, and must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products and services brokered by the company. They must have strong problem-solving and follow-through skills, be able to work independently, lead teams, and interact with various levels of management.

The SAM must consistently demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and perform in a non-structured environment. Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and sales drive are essential. The SAM must articulate well in ad hoc situations and effectively engage any audience in active discussions to drive business results. The main goal is to win new clients, ensure client satisfaction, grow business within the existing base of accounts, and increase profitability for the company.

Job duties:

  • Aggressively identify new opportunities within existing clients and prospect for new clients
  • Complete ongoing “needs analyses” with prospects and clients and provide appropriate solutions
  • Manage contract and pricing negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Take full ownership and responsibility throughout the entire prospect and client lifecycle
  • Be the subject matter expert for your clients
  • Understand challenges and opportunities as they relate to each client
  • Ensure the resolution of client concerns related to contracts, billing, and installation issues
  • Always look for ways to move opportunities/projects forward regardless of obstacles or challenges

Senior Acquisitions Manager

Focus & goal:

The Senior Account Acquisitions Manager (SAAM) is responsible for the strategic targeting and acquisition of new logo accounts.  The SAAM will develop and nurture long term client relationships at the Director, VP and C-Levels through specific industry and product expertise in order to drive new business, build customer loyalty, and meet or exceed quarterly revenue objectives.

Necessary skills:

The SAAM must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, client services, and sales acquisition skills. The SAAM is responsible for establishing and building relationships with prospects, clients, and referral partners, and must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products and services brokered by StrataCore. They must have strong problem-solving and follow-through skills, be able to work independently, lead teams, and interact with various levels of management.

The SAAM must demonstrate excellent sales acquisition, communication, interpersonal, and client services skills. The SAAM is responsible for establishing and building relationships with prospects, clients, and referral partners, and must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the products and services brokered by StrataCore. They must have strong problem-solving and follow-through skills, be able to work both independently and within a team, and interact with various levels of management.

The SAAM must consistently demonstrate the ability to self-motivate and perform in a non-structured environment. Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and sales drive are essential. The SAAM must articulate well in ad hoc situations and effectively engage any audience in active discussions to drive business results. The main goal is to win new clients, ensure client satisfaction, and increase profitability for the company.

Required: 2-5 years’ minimum outside sales experience, ideally directly selling to enterprise level customers

Job duties:

  • Aggressively identify new opportunities and prospect for new clients
  • Two face to face meetings daily with clients, prospects or referral partners
  • Complete ongoing “needs analyses” with prospects and clients and provide appropriate solutions
  • Manage contract and pricing negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Take full ownership and responsibility throughout the entire prospect and client lifecycle
  • Maintain active and accurate client records in Salesforce.com
  • Be the subject matter expert for your clients
  • Understand challenges and opportunities as they relate to each client
  • Ensure the resolution of client concerns related to contracts, billing, and installation issues
  • Always look for ways to move opportunities/projects forward regardless of obstacles or challenges
