For New Years, the city of Dubai broke the world record for the largest display of fireworks. In response, a segment was written that criticized the display as harmful to the environment due the large release of carbon from the fireworks. It appears from a big picture perspective the firework display would not make much a dent in global warming and should not hamper such displays in the future.
