Consequently, they are software as a service, infrastructure as a service, and platform as a service. Subsequently, infrastructure as a service allows for businesses to scale their databases without any long term investment in the online environment. Essentially, platform as a service equates to a service where individual developers are responsible for a particular application on top of the known environment. Finally, software as a service, requires updating and configuration on a regular basis.
