The technology of the cartoon world of the Jetsons, which once seemed hopelessly futuristic and high tech, is now actually becoming outdated. Apart from the technological advances that make this the case, Gartner says that one of the reasons this has all been possible is that the tech and business worlds have been merged and are now evolving together. He goes on to make some predictions about the future of IT, in the categories of the digital revolution, digital business, the internet of things, and smart machines.
